Posted in Costa Rica forum

I am considering liposuction here in Costa Rica (I live and work here). I have been recommended to Dr. Luis Paster and Dr. Osar Suarez?? Any feedback. They both work out of CIMA with is an amazing facility. I appreciate any feedback.
Thank you,

    Susie,

What do you do for a living in Costa Rica? I am just wondering.

    Molly,

Did you have your surgery yet with Dr V Urzola? I could really use some feedback on him. I have been corresponding with his office but I'm scared about making a bad choice as I need quite a bit of work done and can't afford it here in the US.

    Thank you ;)

I'm sure there must be some good plastic surgeons in CR who are not that popular like others who are not so good and money motivated. After my horrible experience I can only warn others to stay away from Dr. Pino and Villa Le Mas. You will be for sure safe with Dr. Alejandro Lev and get beautiful results. He is famous for his FL and body work. I wish, I went to him... And you'll be happy with post-operative retreat Villa Plenitud. This is the only one certify medical recovery facility in San Jose. Please, be careful, chose wisely and don't do same mistake like I did despite researching for one full year. It almost cost me my life!

    Dear Carol:

I bet you're a smart lady by doing al this research before making this huuuge decision. I recommend you to schedule an appointment with Dr. Victor Urzola. It doesn't matter if you have surgery or not, the great thing about this is that he explains in detail everything regarding the procedures you interested in, I think he can even show you photos and videos of recent patients.. that's what he did when I was at his office.
This gives you a better idea of his work... good luck!

    Dear Maggie and Carol:

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience... for that reason I wouldn't consider other than Dr. Victor Urzola for my lower body lift. When I traveled last year with my husband I didn´t want to have a face lift, just botox because I was really afraid of possible complications. But after my consultation with Dr. Urzola, I changed my mind, he's such a great surgeon and he has excellent people skills. I did a lot of research and he didn't studied in Mexico or Brazil... He went to Europe and let me you something... he knows what he's doing. My best friends went to Costa Rica just to have consultation with him and both had surgery a week after that... there's no much in thw web about him, cause he's 34 or 35 I believe but he is already well recognized among other surgeons.

I'm sure there must be more then one good surgeon in CR but now I know that Dr. Alejandro Lev is probably superior. His patient are thrilled with his face lifts and body work. He only do one surgery daily and on one patient - not like Dr. Pino 4 surgeries one day on me and fifth surgery 5 days later. He was money motivated and almost killed me. He lied about my procedures in medical rapport and told lies to next patient about my situation. Avoid this doctor at all cost!

Remember, that you can't sue doctors in CR and they know about it, of course. Some so unethical and take advantage of unsuspecting patient. Whatever you do, do not go also to Rosenstock/Liberman clinic. They botched lots of people. If after all you decide for CR, please chose Dr. Alejandro Lev. You will be safe and happy!

Please, stay away from this place. They were excellent to me when everything was fine. After I developed complications and posted it on the PSJ they lied to another new patience about me just to save their business. I just posted about my latest experience in Villa Le Mas on Tryp Adviser. You may read my review in there. Shame!

    Molly and all other Ladies,

It's with sadness that I have to say that my surgeries with Dr. Ronald Pino were dissaster. He did to much work on me and didn't take proper care after. I came back to Toronto half alive and spend lots of time in hospital. I was on IV and now I'm for the next 2 weeks on antybiotic in pills. I have staph infection, open leaking wounds and 2 pelvic abccesses. I may need surgery but Canadian doctors decided not to oparte on me now because my body was abused so much that it may be dengerous.

I was researching internet for surgeon in CR for one year and felt safe to go with Dr. Pino because there were good posts about him. Now, I have done more researches and found bad posts also. I feel obligated to say the truth to warn others from going through the missery similar to mine. No one should be directed by all those great posts because those ladies who had bad surgeries decide not to speak up being afraid of attacks. Everyone should be careful and don't make the same mistake I did.

Sorry for my writing but I'm still sick and weak.

    Regards, Maggie.

I went to Costa Rica last year to have a face lift, at the beginning I was confused. I had pre-consultation with several doctors. I ended up in Dr. Victor Urzola's office, he's a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. I cannot tell how amazing he is!! My husband asked him a lot of questions, cause' he did a some research about possible techniques. Dr. Urzola had an answer to all of them, I am going back in january to have a tummy tuck done, and my husband will have laser assisted lipo in his pectorals. Dr. Urzola concluded his studies in Italy and France, which was a huge PLUS comparing to other doctors, and also affordable prices... good luck with your decision!
