The Tale of Plastic Pollution: The State of Science and How It Informs Policy

Plastic pollution has captured the attention of the media, the public, and governments globally. University of Toronto professor Dr. Chelsea Rochman is a pioneering researcher in the field who has been studying plastic, including microplastics, for more than 15 years. In this lecture, Rochman will share the history of the field, as well as stories about her work, from the garbage patches to wastewater treatments plants, and global progress on tackling this complex environmental problem.
