    hehehe... hey sis!

we are SO in the same boat! the feeling of being alone and lonely and feeling like an alien will always be there. and believe me, this is my 3rd time to be here and i still have these feelings, one thing, its different when you have your own set of friends and set of family members. But for now, we ladies just have to accept and master the art of Patience.

we will get there, and obviously everyone around us also feels for us too..
but for now, first things, first.... see you ladies soon!!!! wohooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Thank you sisters for extending my reason for not visiting or updating as much as i am before in Just Landed, yup, like what ram mentioned i was just always busy with friends and family meet ups. Obviously it is both an advantage coz you are knowing the kind of ople surrounding your man and it helps you not to get bored too right? the only disadvantage is that it can be tiresome.

Anyhow, i am very sorry to hear this news Felipe, somehow in the back of my head, when you told us that you tried to give the other doc that the embassy ask for but they said it is ok, i remember reading something in the embassy or their website stating that for Visit a Friend visa applicants, they do not accept anymore late docs, once you got the date to submit all the docs needed and forgot something, they will forward the docs first received to Belgium whether complete or not.

I agree with ZD Pardo, i would re-apply for Visit a Friend visa once again and this time, going thru the requirements and making sure you do not forget any of the docs they need from both you and your partner. You have the experienced on this matter now, so no more excuse for next time, I would be so challenged if this ever happens to me but ofcourse, you and your partner should talk about it and see what is workable for you both to make this possible for the next try.

I find the site to check your visum status very helpful because the answers here are coming straight from Belgium and it gives you guidance and peace of mind at the same time eventhough sometimes its always not we expected.

to Sharlot, we all know the waiting time for the result is always a Killer but your almost there.. do not entertain negative thoughts not unless you see if yourself in black and white.

and i so agree again to ZD that for first time applicants, best if you wil propose a shorter stay of less than 2weeks especially if you have not been out of the country, my first application to the embassy i ask for 27days and i am confident that this should be fine for me because i have worked for 8 years based in United States and was able to get visas to various EU countries due to job sites. (Cruise ship)

i hope this info helps and these are all based from my experience. Like ZD and Desert Vixen mentioned, anything we can be of help, let us know, it may not be immediately but we will surely help out with advices.

nice to see this forum active as always and to Felipe and Sharlot, keep us posted and Godbless!

awwww...I just got back from a trip and is only updated about this thread just now..sorry to hear the sad news..but perk up my friend..as they always say ~ everything happens for a reason..

And yes, wait for the advice from the embassy as to the reason of the visa denial so as not to fall on the same loophole again. From there, you and your partner can decide what's the best course of action to take.

If you decided to apply for visit again, I advise that you only apply for 3 to 4 weeks visit max as they always have a high suspicion of overstaying for applicants who applied for 10-12 weeks (depending on the purpose of course) ~ hence, the denial. Now, if your main purpose of coming to Belgium is to be reunited with your partner and stay with him for the rest of your loving days, then cohabitation or fiance (yes Belgium recognizes same sex marriage) visa is more appropriate. Good luck my dear for your application..and keep that faith alive! Keep us posted ok?

    God bless you,
    -ZD Pardo

    Hello Desert Vixen,
How are you? Anyways thank you for the message. All we have to do now is to wait for the call from the embassy here.
At least I can have an idea what are those reasons for denial.WEll, My partner and I moved on. And I believe there is still next time(hehehehe).
Wow! you've been in Paris.. That's great then..
You're right, Anna Liza and Desert Vixen is busy.
    Have Blessed day ahead..

I'm very sad to hear about that Felipe. :( Normally, the embassy will call you and ask you to come to their office in the morning. But the thing is, they will not tell you anything over the phone. They will just say, "I cannot disclose any information through phone." I completely understand how you feel. As I've mentioned earlier on this thread, my visit visa was also denied. The embassy will give you the result of your application as well as the reasons why your application was denied. To tell you the truth, I find it a bit odd that the visa officer didn't ask for your COE even though you already offered it. Normally, they should accept all possible documents/proofs you have. Anyway, for now, it will be best to know the reasons why it was denied. As far as I know, you can still re-apply for the same type of visa as soon as you like (for as long as you will then be able to already cross-out the reasons for the denial). I read from another online thread about this girl who had to apply for her visit visa 4 times before it got approved. Although, if you have that thought of permanently residing in BE already, then I guess it would be best to apply for a cohabitation visa next time. You may apply as soon as you like (once you have received the result of your previous application). But as you might have probably known already, cohabitation visa might take a much longer processing time. Patience is a virtue, indeed. :)

You might feel very disappointed or frustrated right now, but it will pass. You'll be fine. Been there. ;) And don't lose hope. You can still come join us here in BE. Take it from me.

Please keep us posted. Btw, ZD is on a weekend vacay so that's why you don't hear from her so often. Anna Liza also had quite a busy week. As for me, my man and I just came from a one day trip to Paris and then it was all about meeting family and friends. In the future, you're probably gonna have the same busy schedule (once you get here). ;)

    Hi Sharlot,
Don't worry too much about yours. As what they always say at the embassy, it's a case to case basis. For as long as you can prove to them that you really intend to go back to PH, then there shouldn't be a problem. Keep us posted too. :)
